Jon is a Registered Consultant and Professional Member of the ICF, Chartered Arboriculturist, Fellow Member of the Arboricultural Association and Chartered Environmentalist, with over 20 years’ experience in practical and professional arboriculture. Having originally studied with Dominic in Durham and before that having worked as a climber, Jon initially ‘trained’ with an Arboricultural Association Registered Consultant, managing and undertaking large tree surveys for Local Authorities, English Heritage and the MOD. He went on to run a successful independent arboricultural business and since 2006 has worked as a consultant alongside Dominic. Jon is a Senior Arboricultural Consultant and Director of Aspect Tree Consultancy.

Dominic spent 10 years working in local government planning departments at Teignbridge District Council and Exeter City Council. He was responsible for protected trees, offering planning advice, appraising landscaping schemes, and tree safety inspections on Council owned land. Dominic’s experience gives him a valuable insight into planning, protected tree legislation and LPA processes. He progressed into the private sector in 2004, running a consultancy department for a tree surgery company. Dom became a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association in 2005, a Chartered Environmentalist in 2008 and an ICF Registered Consultant in 2015. Dom is a Senior Arboricultural Consultant and Director of Aspect Tree Consultancy.
Dip Arb (RFS), M.Arbor.A, BSc (Hons)
Simon has 20 years’ arboricultural experience in both local government and the private sector. His contracting experience concluded as a manager of private contracts in Cornwall for a large tree surgery business, serving both business and domestic clients. He has extensive experience working in local government where he has managed a team of professional arboriculturists and developed corporate risk management processes and council policies. His many years carrying out tree inspections have developed a balanced, objective approach to risk assessments and amenity tree management. Simon is particularly well versed in judging the arboricultural implications of planned land development and how mitigation can be provided through good design and landscaping. He is a professional member of the Arboricultural Association and holds the Royal Forestry Society’s Professional Diploma in Arboriculture.

Neil joined Aspect in 2011 after leaving a post as Technical Director of one of the world’s largest multi-disciplinary consultancies practices. Neil has over 38 years of experience of working as a Consultant within the development, architectural design and construction sectors of the economy. Neil is a European Engineer and Chartered Environmental Engineer with a Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture, and is an Associate Member of the Arboricultural Association. He is also a Chartered Electrical Engineer, Associate of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Member of Chartered Building Services Engineers, and published author. Neil’s knowledge of how trees interact with construction design techniques, the physics of buildings, built environment and infrastructure, helps us solve seemingly intractable planning and construction issues.
Katie provides CAD support for the company having joined the team in 2014 as senior CAD technician. Her background consists of technical expertise within the exhibition and shop fitting industry – working with internationally renowned companies such as Gap and McDonald’s restaurants. Having worked in detail with the production of technical design drawings specialising in these fields, Katie has gained a wealth of knowledge in Computer Aided Design and Technical Detailing.
